experience necessary to be a reliable partner during a clean up and restoration effort - including
environmental management.
CEO Ulf Jansson is a 40 year veteran within the field of large scale disaster response operations in
Scandinavia and Europe.
Sewage, petroleum och chemical clean up containment and restoration has been a priority with the
concern though out it's history.
Hands-On experience and specific training courses together with international conferences have been
undertaken on a regular basis within these areas.

with a large variance in equipment.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Oil skimmer (Komara skimmers) oil and petroleum containment booms.
- Lengths of 5,000 meters Oil Absorbent Boom
- A collection of crude oil pumps each with a capacity up to and including 20,000 Lt. per hour
- Complete protective operational clothing, gear, tools including degreasing supplies
for 300 personal in conjunction with oil spills and chemical waste restorations ready-packed in 3
standard sized ship containers.
- We can implement on short notice a large selection of containment berms and booms as well as
absorbents and pillow and bladder tanks.
Numerous references concerning past participation in environmentally violent situations are available
upon request.
A few examples are:
In 1980 a Russian oil tanker went aground in the Baltic Sea with 3,000 metric tons of bunker oil. In
the environmentally sensitive outer archipelago east of Stockholm, Sweden . A total restoration and
containment was completed in a satisfactory time and method in cooperation with municipal and state
agencies.
Another larger project was the Push-barge Hekules accident that also went aground further north also
in a very sensitive enviroment in 2005. The vessel leaked 180 metric tons crude oil plus a sizable
portion of diesel fuel - approximately 80 tons. The clean up containment and restoration involved
pumps with capability to transfer larger volumes of contaminated sea water to seperational facilities
at sea as well as on land. Winter conditions with snow and ice blocks at sea and rocky islands and
small bays increased the difficulty in actual containment but today the impact on the environment is
considered negligible. Absorbent materials of varying nature and character were used by a 40 man
clean up crew and about 5 team leaders.
Skadeservice was also implimental in protecting fishing and commercial mussel farms during the oil
tanker break up accident off the coast of Spain when The M/T Prestige suffered a fracture in the side
shell on 14 November 2002 during a spell of very severe weather. Skadeservice was able to place
personal and equipment at the sites in short notice and maintained a high level of participation
for a period of about 5 months.
Skadeservice is currently under contract to Stockholms, Gothenberg, Sodertelje and Gavle municipal harbour
authorities to ensure preparedness in lieu of cleanup or containment emergencies such as might occur
including oil spills, fire and other chemical accidents.
Our crew have a working and practical level of the English language and are currently applying
for the Visa Waiver Program through the US Embassy in Stockholm in order to be able to ship out to
the US at short notice.
